DARTS BOARDS

Soft or traditional dart board?

Steel dart boards are made from traditional sisal fibers, while soft dart boards have a plastic surface that is designed for soft-tipped, plastic darts. Steel dart boards are ideal for precision play, while soft dart boards are safer and often electric, which does the counting for us, making them ideal for children.

Modern Darts Boards

Nowadays, the material and manufacturing process of dart boards have changed a lot. Most professional dart boards are made of sisal fibers, which are extremely durable and resistant. Steel dart boards are formed into the familiar circular board by precise processing and layering of sisal fibers.

THEcoloringandwiringis also an important part of the
modern dart boards. After coloring, the boards are made using various wiring techniques. The old round wiring is now considered obsolete, as it reduces the size of the playing field and increases the chance of arrows bouncing. In contrast, the innovative blade wiring is thinner and, thanks to its recessed placement, minimizes the bounce of the arrows, so the best dart boards are already made with this technology.

Darts Board Maintenance

A well-maintained dartboard will last a long time. The board should be rotated regularly to ensure even wear. It is important to remember to maintain the dart tips to minimize damage to the board. Direct sunlight and excessive moisture should be avoided during storage, as these can damage the board. It is best to always store the dartboard in a dry place with the right humidity.

Accessories

In addition to dart boards, there are many accessories available. For example, dart wall protectors protect the wall from holes caused by arrows, while the right dart board lighting improves the playing experience and the dart mat prevents the arrow tip from chipping, which indirectly increases the lifespan of our board.

The dimensions of dart boards are uniform among the largest brands (approx. 45 cm diameter), so accessories that are suitable for one will also work with products from other brands.

As a basic rule of the game, the height of the dartboard
(center) needs to be placed at 173 cm, and the arrows will be thrown from a distance of 237 cm.
